Tokyo Disney Resort has revealed new details about the Dreams take Flight stage show coming to the Hangar Stage in the Lost River Delta port of Tokyo DisneySea from July 16th, 2025.
Updates to the Tokyo Disney website have confirmed the show will utilize the Entry Request lottery system. Seats may also be available via standby on a first come, first serve basis, though we predict availability will be extremely limited given the brand-new nature of the show.
In addition, paid Disney Premier Access seating will be offered for the show, in addition to Japanese resident-exclusive Vacation Package seating. The seating diagram will be as follows:

(Blue) Guests with Disney Premier Access
・ The viewing location within the viewing area will be specified in advance. On your day of visit, please view the performance from the designated seat, which will be specified with a corresponding number.
・ The number indicating your viewing location will be displayed on the screen of your mobile device after you have completed your purchase of Disney Premier Access.
(Pink) Guests with Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package reservations
・ The designated seating areas for Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Packages will be available exclusively for guests who have made bookings for a package plan that includes viewing performances from these areas.
As indicated by the official website, guests who purchase Disney Premier Access will be assigned seating.
What is Dreams Take Flight?
Tokyo Disney Resort describes the new show as, “Set in an airplane factory, “Dreams Take Flight” showcases a day where Mickey Mouse and other Disney friends come together to build an airplane, featuring rhythmical songs and dances.”
Lasting ~25 minutes long, concept art for the show prominently features a variety of Disney characters, including Moana and Pocahontas from the movies of the same name, and Meredith from Disney’s animated movie Brave.
The show will take place at the Hangar Stage, located in the Lost River Delta port of Tokyo DisneySea. The theater has sat dormant since the Covid shutdown in 2020.

A Return of Entertainment?
While Tokyo Disney Resort is lauded as one of the most immersive and incredible themed experiences in the world, some have noted the scaled back and even absence of entertainment post-Covid.
For instance, The Little Mermaid show within the Mermaid Lagoon section has not operated since June, 2020, and is still listed as a “temporary closure” on the official website.

Other entertainment has been scaled back in size, such as Big Band Beat in the American Waterfront at Tokyo Disney Resort. During the Covid-era of theme parks, the show transitioned into Big Band Beat: A Special Treat, which has remained in place to this day.

While fans ponder the return of the full-scale shows, Tokyo Disney has recently added many shows to the paid Disney Premier Access system, allowing guests to bypass the requirement of obtaining a lottery-based Entry Request pass.
Dreams Take Flight! is the first original stage show to be added post-Covid, potentially indicating an expansion of entertainment across the resort as Tokyo Disney looks to broaden their free and paid offerings to guests.
Stay tuned for more information about the shows as they come out!
