Tokyo Disney to Reopen Gift Shop After 5 Years

The Tokyo Disney Resort has updated their webpage to reflect the ending of a closure that has remained in effect since the Covid-19 pandemic closure of the entire resort.

It’s Been a Long Time…

Listed as “temporarily closed” on the Tokyo Disney Resort website since July 1st, 2020, Parkway Gifts South will be reopening on March 9th, 2025, nearly 5 years after its initial closure.

A gift shop outside the south ticketing of Tokyo DisneySea, the small store is thematically integrated with the Hotel MiraCosta and offers memorabilia and souvenirs for guests entering and leaving the park.

A cloned shop is featured at the north entrance of the park, aptly named Parkway Gifts North, and is listed on the Tokyo Disney Resort as in operation.

Importantly, the webpage for the shop lists their operating hours as “…open from 30 minutes before the Park opens until 30 minutes after the Park closes.” This is especially helpful as entry to shops within the park are typically restricted at or shortly after park closing.

A Return to Form

While most of the operations have resumed as normal at the Tokyo Disney Resort since the Covid-19 pandemic closure, some park offerings have remained closed for an extended period of time. For instance, two shops in the Mermaid Lagoon port of DisneySea remain closed since 2020.

With the reopening of Parkway Gifts South, Tokyo DisneySea has moved one step closer to full pre-pandemic operations! You can see a list of all temporary closures at the Tokyo Disney Resort here.
