The Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that beginning April 1st, 2025, walk-up standby lines will be offered for all Fantasy Springs attractions. This comes after a previous announcement that the 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic, an unlimited skip-the-line pass for Fantasy Springs attractions, will be discontinued after March 31st, 2025.

Currently, a standby line is offered to guests through the virtual queue-style Standby Pass system, where guests may book a free pass the moment they enter the park. This caused massive lines at the entrance to form before official park opening, and caused us and many others to recommend arriving 1.5-2.5 hours prior to park opening.

With the addition of a walk-up standby queue (walk-up meaning you can just go straight to it without any reservation or pass), it seems all but confirmed that the Standby Pass system will be retired for the Fantasy Springs attractions permanently.

The other way of experiencing Fantasy Springs attractions- through the skip-the-line Disney Premier Access (DPA) service- will still be offered, and may be a contributing factor as to why lines pre-park opening will still be long.

Currently, there are no changes announced for the Vacation Package offerings, such as the “unlimited attractions” package, which does not include the Fantasy Springs attractions as part of its special attractions ticket.

This is generally looked upon as a positive development, as the unrestricted added capacity to the park is needed, and will hopefully serve to reduce wait times around the park, especially for newer additions such as Soaring, while also spreading crowds out around the park. We will be updating all of our itineraries and guides for the park to reflect these changes as we see the long-term effects, so stay tuned!
