Breaking: Tokyo Disney to End Fantasy Springs Benefit

The Tokyo Disney Resort has announced the end of an unprecedented benefit for DisneySea’s newly opened Fantasy Springs land.

The 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic, which offers guests unlimited entry to Fantasy Springs and its attractions to their priority access queues where offered, will no longer be sold after March 25th, 2024.

The only ways to purchase this exclusive passport are by staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel, or purchasing Vacation Package, both of which are pricey propositions. The announcement implies that the pass will be discontinued entirely, not just removing one of the options.

The end of the Fantasy Springs Magic Passport may be an indication of the long-controversial entry process to Fantasy Springs. In effect since its opening, the only way to enter land and experience its attractions is through a limited number of Standby Passes and Premier Access.

This system, while allowing for controlled crowds within the land, has prevented many people from experiencing all four attractions the land has to offer, as there is no walk-up standby line. In addition, to experience multiple attractions, it basically required guests purchase Premier Access for an additional fee.

Despite this extra cost, passes still ran out quickly most mornings. According to X account @_fantasysprings, which tracks pass availability, it’s common to see all passes run out within the first 2 hours of park opening. Some of the more popular attractions, like Frozen, saw their passes run out before the park even opened.

What are your thoughts about the end of the Fantasy Springs Magic Passport? Do you think the current Fantasy Springs entry system is justified or needs to be reworked? Leave your thoughts below!
